The simplest hack ever to treat acne

Hold on, because for this trick you just need some ice. Ice ensures that irritations, inflammation and redness are reduced. So it doesn’t literally remove your pimples, but it does make the red color and swelling almost invisible. Dermatologist Emma Craythorne specializes in acne treatments and says the following about the trick.

“Care needs to be taken when treating acne pimples as the redness of these spots is due to inflammation; don’t be tempted to squeeze these as squeezing of these can make them more inflamed and therefore increase the risk of scarring. Ice can be really helpful by reducing the swelling, redness and calming the inflammation and that will reduce the risk of scarring and post-inflammatory colour change on the skin.”

So, how do we do this

Placing the ice directly on the skin is not wise, so put a few ice cubes in a clean – very important – towel and place it on the impurities. Hold this for three minutes and then let the skin rest for five minutes. After this you are ready to start your make-up routine. Finally, dermatologist Emma gives the tip to dip the towel in a little bit of Tea Tree oil, for a better effect.
