Never again pimples,
This is how you can get rid of your acne once and for all
Some people are blessed with smooth and acne-free skin, but not everyone. More than 17 million people worldwide suffer from a form of acne such as blackheads, pimples, and a cyst (subcutaneous inflammation).
Acne usually occurs on the face especially in the T zone: forehead, nose, and chin. There are many active sebaceous glands that can cause acne. It can also occur on your back, chest, or décolleté.
I myself notice pimples on my face when I have my period. pimples appear on my face. This has to do with hormones. Acne can have many more causes such as stress, your genes, medicines, and some birth control pills. Acne can be very annoying because it may make you insecure (which is not necessary at all!), But it is very understandable. So here is the secret: this is how you can get rid of your acne!
1. Wash your face 2 times a day with lukewarm water and a mild cleanser.
If you suffer from acne, it is wise to wash your face in the morning and in the evening with lukewarm water and a mild cleanser. Do not use soap, tonic or lotion. This dries out your skin and that in turn promotes sebum production. That way the pores become clogged even more. If you wear make-up during the day, remove it first and then rinse your face with lukewarm water and a mild cleanser. It is very important to really do it with lukewarm water because hot water can dry out your skin and cold pores do not open your pores well enough, so you cannot clean them properly. Wash your face between 30 and 45 seconds, that is how long it takes before you have washed the dirt and grease off your face. It is also wise not to use a washcloth. It is often too coarse which can irritate your skin. So it’s best to use your (clean) hands.
2. Exfoliate your face
Dead skin cells that accumulate can cause clogged pores and that in turn causes you to get acne. The best way to exfoliate is with a product that contains salicylic acid. This ensures that not only your skin, but also the inside of the pore is cleaned. It kills bacteria and reduces redness. It is different than a scrub. An exfoliating product is much milder than a scrub because it is a liquid containing fruit acids that the dead skin cells deviate from the skin. So there are no hard grains that can irritate the skin. It is suitable for an impure skin, but also for dry skin with acne because the chance of irritation is very small. Like an aspirin, salicylic acid has an anti-inflammatory function.
3. Make sure you kill bacteria that can cause acne.
Benzoyl peroxide gel inhibits the growth of the bacteria that cause acne. It is an effective gel against pimples that is available without a prescription. Benzoyl peroxide gel loosens the upper skin layer and it reduces the growth of skin cells. This makes the pores less clogged with skin cells. Apply a small amount of gel to the areas where you suffer from acne, but do not massage it into your skin. You can see results after two to three weeks. But only after three months is the effect really visible. Getting rid of your acne may take a while, but the result is worth it! Tip: the gel can have a bleaching effect so watch out with your eyebrows, your hair, your clothes, and your pillow.
4. Use a clay and fossil mask to remove excess sebum.
A clay and fossil mask can ensure that the excess sebum on the skin surface is removed. It penetrates deep into the pores. Getting rid of your acne will certainly succeed. You can best apply the mask with your fingers and apply a thick layer. Leave it on for one minute: the formula draws into the clogged pores and removes the dirt. While rinsing, massage your face with lukewarm water so that it exfoliates the skin very gently.
5. Zinc supplements
Zinc (supplements) is an antioxidant and therefore an important nutrient for the skin because, among other things, it repairs the skin if it has been damaged. Skin problems such as acne can occur with a zinc deficiency. So keep an eye on this! For example, zinc is found in: meat, cheese, grain products, nuts and in shellfish.
6. Change your pillow cover regularly.
Your pillow is a breeding ground for bacteria. You are constantly lying on your face so there is a good chance that you will suffer more from acne as a result. Tip: sleep on a clean pillowcase every night. If you find that something is going too far, for example, you can put a clean towel on your pillow every night. In this way you work asleep to reduce acne. Win win
7. Vitamin A acid creams
The active substance in these creams, tretinoin, a vitamin A acid, accelerates cell division of the upper skin layer. It therefore ensures that the sebum can come out more easily. Because of this there is a good chance that getting rid of your acne will succeed. The only drawback is that you can only get a cream with tretinoin on prescription. It is therefore best to make an appointment with the doctor if you want to try a cream with vitamin A. The reason why you can only get it through the doctor is because it actually affects your skin. Because if you apply the cream too thickly, your skin may feel irritated and painful. It can also make your skin thinner. So be careful with it.
